Working with SALUS has been a great pleasure. The SALUS team members are professional and knowledgeable in their field and have been dedicated to Rio del Valle Middle School. SALUS takes the time to provide unique services based on the needs of the school and students. The team has provided classroom presentations, mentorships, and training to help ensure the proper educational information is being provided for the safety of students and staff. Our staff has provided positive feedback and would like to have more presentations on various topics presented to our school. Providing the training to staff has given them the tools needed to be proactive in safety and building relationships with students. Students provided positive feedback with information they learned in each presentation that they didn't know before and also want to hear about other topics to meet more of their needs. There are more positive interactions among students as well as a decline in negative behaviors especially when mentoring the students who need more support each time SALUS engages with our staff and students.

Both students and staff have benefitted from the series of assemblies put on by the Salus team.  School assemblies focused on critical issues relevant to our middle school students.  Issues like the dangers of vaping, the responsible use of social media, bullying prevention, and character development. Their work not only equips students with the knowledge to make better choices but also fosters a supportive environment where they can thrive both academically and personally. Hearing information directly from experienced officers quickly engaged students and staff, and provided real life examples of the impact vaping, social media, bullying, and character have on student lives.  We look forward to welcoming Salus to Curren School again soon.

Our campus was struggling with significant issues related to student vaping and inappropriate use of social media. In response, we partnered with SALUS to provide specialized student presentations addressing these challenges. The impact was immediate and profound.  Following the implementation of their presentations, we saw a noticeable reduction in both vaping incidents on campus and social media disturbances. SALUS’ approach not only educated our students but also empowered them to make better choices. We highly recommend SALUS to any school facing similar challenges. Their expertise and thoughtful programs have made a lasting difference on our campus.

I would like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the invaluable partnership we have forged with SALUS since the start of the 2022 Academic School Year. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in enhancing our school's approach to critical issues such as bullying, social media safety, character building, and gang affiliation. Through engaging school-wide presentations, SALUS has empowered our students and staff with the knowledge and tools needed to foster a safer and more inclusive environment.

As a direct result of SALUS's initiatives, we have seen significant improvements within our school community. Our suspension rates have decreased by 3%, and we have also reduced chronic absenteeism by 3%. Furthermore, their guidance has strengthened our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems, contributing to a more positive school culture overall. We are deeply grateful for SALUS's commitment and support, which have made a lasting impact on the safety and well-being of our students. Together, we look forward to continuing this vital work to ensure a brighter future for all our learners."
